Artist Bio - Amanda Moeckel

I have always connected with animals. At age 15, I learned about the horrors of factory farming and animal exploitation, and made a promise to myself that I would do everything in my power to help animals. Artwork is one way that I try to spread that message of compassion. I have been doing animal portraits and animal-related artwork professionally for four years. I currently reside in San Francisco, CA and work in a studio at The Art Explosion.

Education: BA in Studio Art and Political Science from American University, 2001, Magna Cum Laude

Awards: Leonard Maurer Award for Outstanding Achievement in Art, Allen Carney Award for Undergraduate Artist
